Copy the following into a new thread, with your character's current civilian and costumed name in the subject line, and tag it with WIP until you're finished. For example: Shayera Hol - Hawkgirl [WIP]

Canon or your own
Is the character of your own make, or from the comic continuum? REMEMBER: Your first character must be a canon character.
Civilian Identity
Include the name your character will be called most often in civilian guise. If they have an alternate, lesser known name, include that in brackets.
Alias
If a hero or villain, what does the public call them?
Gender
Male, female, robot, big protoplasmic puddle...
Age
Include both actual age, and apparent age if they're the long- or short-lived sort.
Occupation
What do they do?
Appearance
Either a picture or a physical description is fine, especially given many of the applications will be for characters we have bouncing around. If the character is a made-up hero or villain, we do ask that their costume and such are given a written description.
Personality
Now's your chance to go the therapist route; stick your chosen character on the comfy couch and reveal to us what makes him tick! At least two well-sized paragraphs for this, please, more are welcome.
Abilities:
List their powers here; either bullet points with details or regular paragraphs are fine.
Equipment:
What sort of gear do they use?
Weaknesses:
Vulnerabilities, even if it's as simple as 'He's human. Bullets hurt.' Nobody is perfect, and whether physical or psychological, there is generally an Achilles heel that will consistently trip you up.
Background:
Here's where your history comes in; explain their origins, their life story, how they came to be the hero/villain/ice cream truck driver they are now. To keep from having to go right back to edit it, you should usually write the background up to the point they become a hero, even if you plan on waiting a few threads before making their big debut. Four well-sized paragraphs bare (BARE) minimum, and that's only if they've led a thoroughly uninteresting life.
Base of Operations:
Where does your character mostly stick around?
Sample Post:
Here's where you wow us; you can roleplay either side of your character's 'secret identity,' and either write a brief story snippet with the character, or act as if you were opening a thread. Indeed, you can use your sample post FOR your first thread, if you're accepted. Note that this sample must be of the character you are applying for, and you are required to have one whether you have an accepted character or not.
