So, I don't like writing a lot of rules and I bet you don't like reading them, so let's keep this short and sweet, okay?

Characters
General
- This entire site is rated PG-13, which means that while we allow all sorts of violence, relationships, etc. anything adult-oriented or extreme is not allowed on this site, whether written or graphics, whether IC or OOC.
- We consider this to be a forum for advanced roleplayers, so we expect all players to be familiar with and follow the standard rules of roleplay such as not powerplaying or godmoding. If you aren't familiar with these concepts, please consult a staff member before beginning.
- We expect all players to be nice to each other OOC. If you can't be nice, then be quiet.
- While don't have a required word count for posts, please note that the vast majority of players here are fans of very long posts and will get irritated if you don't keep up with them. We also expect you to have a solid grasp on grammar and spelling.
- While we do allow characters to be in multiple threads at once, don't run around every single location all the time. Sure, Superman could fly to Gotham City pretty easily, but he's not bugging Bruce every third day. The only exceptions are if you have a character who both has the means to get around quickly, and doesn't really have a 'home' to call their own; but even then there are certain areas they are more likely to be than others.
Characters
- Every player's first character must be a canon character, no exceptions, and every player is required to keep at least one canon character at all times.
- Every new player may apply for up to two characters to start out with. After that, additional characters are granted on a case by case basis, based largely upon activity. We expect you to be active with two characters before you're allowed three, to be active with three before you're allowed four, and so on. We do not have a predetermined maximum.
- We run a one week long activity check at the beginning of every month. If you can't be here during the activity check, be sure to post a message in the Player Notices section saying so. Players who do not respond to the activity check will lose their characters.
- Additionally all canon characters, especially the major ones, are required to remain active. If you go for three weeks without making an RP post or making obvious attempts to fix that, expect to lose the character.
- Some characters, such as Superman, are very powerful and the players of these characters are expected to use their powers responsibly. This includes double checking before joining a scene if your character is obviously likely to have an easy victory, being willing to give another player OOC advice on how to thwart your character if they get in over their heads, and otherwise making sure that you're not spoiling someone else's fun. We expect the apps of such characters to reflect an awareness that everyone's defeatable somehow. And if you're too heavy-handed in playing such a character and don't ease off when warned, expect to lose the character. Any disputes on this should be referred to the staff. That said, don't expect them to side with you if your normal human challenges the Flash to a race and you lose badly.
- Some characters, such as Doomsday, are obviously so disruptive simply because of who they are that they will be reserved for special events. If you are unsure if a character qualifies for this, ask a staff member before applying.
- Other characters may be temporarily or permanently unavailable due to the theme: please read the FAQ for more info.
